Stakeholders Engagement in Action

In 2025, we held a key stakeholders meeting at Eastleigh Fellowship Centre. The event brought together school heads, community leaders, religious figures, sub-county officials, and local government representatives. The meeting focused on promoting peace in schools and communities through open dialogue and joint planning.

These regular sessions help strengthen partnerships and support peaceful conflict resolution. Together, we continue to build a more united and inclusive society.

Working with the Ministry of Education

We hold regular sessions with Ministry of Education officials to strengthen our partnership. These meetings help us align our work with national education goals and support peaceful, safe school environments for every learner.

Annual Peace Symposium

Each year, we bring together students, teachers, community leaders, and peace partners to celebrate peace efforts in schools. The event is a chance to share stories, learn from one another, and explore simple ways to build lasting peace in our schools and communities. It’s also a space where ideas grow, friendships form, and everyone feels part of the peace journey.

International Day of Peace

Each year, we join the world in marking the International Day of Peace. We organize school and community events that promote unity, kindness, and peaceful living. Students and community members come together to share, reflect, and renew their promise to live in peace with others.

To mark the 2024 International Day of Peace, learners from Penuel Education Complex planted trees as a symbol of peace, growth, and unity. This activity was part of the project’s efforts to promote both peace and care for the environment. The students took pride in being part of a peaceful future while learning the value of protecting nature. Tree planting continues across all our partner schools as a lasting reminder of hope and harmony.

Peace in Action: 2024 Performing Arts Showcase

Easteigh High School Peace club member took the stage in a vibrant showcase of drama, music, and poetry to promote peace. The event brought together learners from diverse backgrounds to celebrate unity, express their hopes for harmony, and share powerful messages of nonviolence. Through their performances, the students inspired their peers and the community to embrace peace in everyday life.

Supporting Teachers in Building Peaceful Schools

The project brought together teachers from partner schools to focus on conflict transformation and restorative discipline. These sessions helped teachers learn better ways to handle conflicts in schools without using punishment. Instead, they explored peaceful methods that restore relationships and build trust.

Teachers shared real-life challenges and learned from one another. They also gained tools to create safe and respectful learning environments. This training is part of our ongoing work to promote peace, care, and understanding in every classroom.

Ongoing Parent Training for Stronger Families

As part of our regular community engagement, the project runs training sessions for parents across all partner schools. These sessions focus on positive parenting, understanding child development stages, and guiding children on the safe use of social media.

Parents meet in a friendly space to share experiences and learn practical skills. They are taught how to support their children with love, clear rules, and care at every age. They also learn how to help their children stay safe and respectful online.

This ongoing training helps families build trust, improve communication, and raise confident, responsible children. It is a key part of our goal to support peaceful and healthy school communities.

CPN's Commitment to Safeguarding and Child Protection

At CPN, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a safe, caring, and supportive environment. We are committed to safeguarding children in all our programs and ensuring that every activity protects their rights and well-being.

As part of this commitment, the project regularly trains teachers, parents, and community stakeholders on child protection and safeguarding. These sessions help participants understand how to recognize risks, respond to concerns, and promote safe behavior at home, in school, and in the wider community.

We also promote safe programming by making sure our activities are child-friendly, inclusive, and respectful. Safeguarding is not just a one-time event—it is a routine part of how we work. Every person involved in our programs has a role to play in keeping children safe.

Together, we are building a culture of safety and protection that supports healthy growth and lasting peace in schools and communities.
